The purpose of this job is to perform a wide variety of tasks in support of law enforcement and crime prevention functions. Perform investigative work and other special assignments. Assist and interact with the public by taking calls-for-service over the telephone, in person (both in the field and at the department) and completing all required paperwork. Provide traffic control assistance at major crash scenes, fire calls, major crime scenes and special city events.
Carry out a variety of technical and administrative tasks in support of the Police Department and to perform other duties as directed.

What We're Looking For
• High School Diploma or Equivalency.
• Six months to one year of experience in a related job field, or 15 college semester hrs.
• Must successfully complete a basic public service officer training school within one year of employment.
