Nurse (RN) Manager of Medical SurgicalJob Description:
The Nurse (RN) Manager of Medical Surgical is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the medical surgical unit. This includes managing staff, ensuring quality patient care, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities:- Manage and supervise nursing staff
- Ensure quality patient care is provided
- Develop and implement policies and procedures
- Monitor and evaluate staff performance
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Manage unit budget and resources
- Participate in staff education and development
- Current RN license in the state of Texas
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required, Master's degree in nursing (MSN) preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical surgical nursing
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership or management role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
