Position: MAINTENANCE WORKER I - No Experience Required
MAINTENANCE WORKER I

The purpose of this position is to preserve safe roadways and drainage systems for the City. This is accomplished by operating various types of heavy equipment, completing street maintenance repairs, repairing potholes and other damage to City streets and maintaining and repairing drainage structures and channels. Other duties include repairing and maintaining equipment, ensuring safe working conditions and interacting with other City employees and citizens.

This position does not provide direction to other employees.

The city offers vacation and sick leave, as well as ten paid holidays. Full time employees earn three weeks of vacation during their first year of employment and 10 hours of sick leave a month.

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• No experience required.

• Valid Texas Class C Driver's License.

• Must obtain a valid Class A learner's permit within 30 days as a condition of continued employment.

• Must obtain a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License within 90 days of employment as a condition of continued employment.
