HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer, Building Maintenance, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
The purpose of this position is to ensure the continuing and quality operation of City services. This is accomplished by providing maintenance and repair services for City owned HVAC equipment. Other duties include performing preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment and systems, monitoring and maintaining HVAC related inventory, monitoring equipment efficiency, providing various other routine maintenance and special project services and interacting with other City employees and citizens.
This position does not provide direction to other employees.

Vacation, Holidays, and Sick LeaveThe city offers vacation and sick leave, as well as ten paid holidays. Full time employees earn three weeks of vacation during their first year of employment and 10 hours of sick leave a month.
What We're Looking For- Six months / one year of advanced study or training past the high school equivalency.
- Four years of experience in the maintenance and repair of commercial HVAC, boilers, chilled water systems and RTUs (5-60 tons).
- Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License.
- It is preferred applicants have a Texas Air Conditioning License (Contractor) Type A or
B.Must have an EPA Certification. - Must be able to pass a standard background check as well as a background check through the FBI Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS).
Typical work schedule:
Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 4:00 pm.
Occasional Overtime for emergency repairs and special events.
