- Implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities for toddler-aged children
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that supports social-emotional development
- Monitor and document each child's developmental milestones and progress
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's growth
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom in compliance with licensing standards
- Supervise toddlers during play, meals, and rest times with attentiveness and care
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support a positive learning community
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
- Prior experience working with toddlers or in an early childhood setting strongly preferred
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) for toddler-age children
- Current or ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
- Must meet Rhode Island DCYF childcare licensing requirements
- Warm, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine love for working with young children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
