Work Schedule:

Up to 2.5 hours per day – after school through the school year on days when Targeted Services meets.

• Valid MN Middle School teaching license
• Continued professional development through coursework, research, and peer collaboration
• Considerable knowledge of core curriculum areas for instruction
• Considerable knowledge of educational philosophy, teaching methods, and current research-based best practices
• Considerable knowledge of students' learning styles and needs, including academic and affective aspects
• Considerable knowledge of multicultural, gender, and disability‑fair curriculum concepts
• Considerable knowledge of classroom management techniques
• Working knowledge of instructional technologies
• Skill in classroom presentation
• Skills in classroom management and organization
• Skills in maintaining records and developing reports
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Ability to plan and implement lessons based on district and school goals, objectives, and student needs
• Ability to provide appropriate instruction in core subjects
• Ability to adapt teaching styles to diverse student populations
• Ability to interact effectively with students, parents, staff, administration, and community members of diverse backgrounds
• Ability to evaluate student performance and present evaluations to foster higher achievement
• Ability to work in a cooperative learning environment
• Ability to utilize computer and multimedia technology as appropriate

• Provide instruction in core curriculum areas; use instructional resources and technologies
• Implement district and school goals and objectives
• Follow prescribed curriculum, except as authorized by curriculum outlines or officials
• Evaluate student performance, promote achievement, maintain required records, and report to principal or superintendent
• Maintain communication with parents and collaborate on student development
• Perform classroom management duties, enforce district rules, and take disciplinary action when necessary
• Enforce health and hygiene guidelines affecting students' well-being
