CNC Machinist
Our client, a pump manufacturing company, is seeking a CNC Machinist to join their team. As a CNC Machinist, you will be part of the machining department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will have considerable judgment, strong problem-solving skills, and close attention to detail, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?Set up and operate multi-axis CNC turning centers with live tooling (including brand-new Mazak Integrex, DMG Mori, Okuma, and Kitamura Bridge Mills) using tape, disc, or direct inputted programs.
Perform a wide variety of precision machining operations including turning, drilling, boring, grooving, milling, tapping, facing, tapering, cutoff, and deburring.
Read and interpret blueprints, shop orders, route cards, and setup sheets to determine tool requirements and verify materials before machining.
Load and unload castings, forgings, weldments, and bar stock into machines either manually or by utilizing a hoist, working to close tolerances of up to.0002".
Manage program offsets, procure jigs/fixtures, bore soft jaws, resharpen/grind tools, and perform scheduled disassembly, cleaning, and lubrication of chucks and machinery.
Proven experience interpreting complex technical drawings and setting up/operating CNC turning centers with live tooling.
Ability to reason through setup and operation problems on complex equipment, using considerable judgment to select and utilize appropriate tools.
Skill in using various precision tools and gauges to perform high-tolerance machining operations.
Close mental and visual application to maintain focus during setups and operations to prevent damage to cutting tools, gauges, and high-value machinery.
Capability to handle light physical exertion, including manually handling tools, operating machine controls, and managing parts.
Shift flexibility with 2nd shift (3:30 PM – 12:00 AM) and 3rd shift (10:30 PM – 7:00 AM) options available.
