Production Manager

Relocation Assistance Offered Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing and fabrication operations at a growing metal fabrication facility in New Mexico.

The Production Manager will be responsible for managing production schedules, leading and motivating shop personnel, maintaining quality and safety standards, coordinating materials and equipment availability, and ensuring production goals and customer deadlines are achieved.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on manufacturing leader with at least five years of experience managing production teams in a metal fabrication, structural steel, miscellaneous metals, welding, or similar manufacturing environment.

• Lead, motivate, and develop production employees while creating a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Plan and organize production schedules to meet project requirements and customer deadlines.
• Oversee daily shop operations and assign responsibilities based on production priorities and workforce capabilities.
• Monitor production progress, productivity, quality, and overall shop performance.
• Identify production risks, capacity constraints, and bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure established quality standards are maintained throughout the fabrication and manufacturing process.
• Coordinate with procurement and other departments to ensure materials are available when required.
• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventive and routine maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Implement and enforce company health and safety requirements throughout the production floor.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, safety, workflow, and operational efficiency.
• Prepare production reports and communicate performance, challenges, and priorities to senior management.
• Work closely with project management, procurement, quality, maintenance, and other departments to ensure successful execution of projects.

• Minimum 5 years of production/manufacturing experience, including experience leading employees.
• Experience with in metal fabrication, structural steel, miscellaneous metals, welding, stairs/railings, or a related manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and hold production teams accountable.
• Strong production planning and scheduling capabilities.

• Experience identifying and resolving production bottlenecks.
