Job Description & How to Apply Below

The operations Coordinator plays a central role in supporting productivity across all divisions at The Great Canadian Landscaping Company (GCLC). This position works directly with the Vice President and Division Managers (Construction, Maintenance, Enhancements, and Snow & Ice) to ensure our teams are properly scheduled, resourced, and prepared for daily production success.

This is not just an administrative role, it’s the operational control center of the company. You will help translate plans into organized daily action by coordinating schedules, equipment, job readiness, and real‑time adjustments during peak seasons and snow events.

Our ideal candidate thrives in fast‑paced environments, enjoys bringing structure to moving parts, and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly behind the scenes.

If you’re highly organized, decisive under pressure, and motivated by improving efficiency, this role offers an opportunity to make a direct impact on company performance.

Key Responsibilities Scheduling & Coordination
  • Develop and maintain daily and weekly crew schedules with Division Managers
  • Balance labour capacity, equipment availability, and geographic efficiency
  • Adjust schedules proactively due to weather, site constraints, or priority changes
Job Readiness & Production Support
  • Confirm sites are ready before crews mobilize (access, permits, materials, scope clarity)
  • Support smooth handoffs from Sales/Design to Production
  • Identify operational gaps before they impact productivity

  • Coordinate maintenance needs and seasonal equipment transitions
Snow & Ice Operations
  • Support pre-season planning and route organization
  • Dispatch crews and monitor real-time completion during snow events
  • Ensure service documentation is accurate for billing and liability protection
Communication & Documentation
  • Act as a key point of contact for field operations questions
  • Log issues, assign follow-up, and ensure closure
  • Maintain accurate scheduling and operational records in company systems
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in operations coordination, logistics, dispatch, or project administration
  • Experience in landscaping, construction, or trades is preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple moving parts
  • Comfortable working with scheduling software, spreadsheets, and CRM systems
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
