In this role you will:

Understanding the client’s financial goals and preferences, analyzing their needs, and recommending the appropriate solutionsProviding end-to-end ownership over advice-based solutions including account opening, investments, credit cards, lines of credits and mortgages.Identifying opportunities to expand existing relationships and make referrals to Scotia Wealth Management partners in response to changes in client’s needs and preferencesSupport the assigned portfolio of less complex credits by:
Participating in the thorough evaluation of the client’s banking and borrowing needs and strategiesExercising sound judgement and financial analysis when granting loans within authorized limitsAdministering Total Wealth product solutions, including Online Loans and Signature Banking Overdraft FacilitiesMonitoring financial status and proactively identifying unfavorable trends, escalating as requiredMinimize the Bank’s exposure to risk by:
Staying current on retail lending compliance, regulatory compliance, and custody requirements and changesAdhering to compliance with regulatory activities and guidance over Occupational Health & SafetyEnsuring strict adherence to Bank security procedures, including retail lending policies and processes, assigned authorities and limitsEscalating fraudulent activities, unusual occurrences, issues/deficiencies/trends to your direct supervisor and/or Team Lead and/or AML and/or Branch Compliance Officer (BCO) and/or Chief Compliance Officers and/or applicable Shared Services Department as appropriateUnderstand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisionAdhere to compliance with regulatory activities and guidelines as part of the sales process, including Privacy, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Anti-Terrorist Financing, Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC), Know Your Customer (KYC), Canadian Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC), Mutual Fund Dealer Association (MFDA) rules, regulations, and policies, as well as Scotia Securities Inc. (SSI) guidelines/processes and Guidelines for Business ConductChampions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environmentDo you have the skills to enable you to be successful in this role? We would love to work with you if you have:
Minimum 3-5 years of banking experienceThe incumbent must have at least 3 years of Business and/or Retail Banking experience, dealing with professional clientsMust be an experienced banker with exceptional interpersonal, leadership and business development skillsUniversity degree or college diplomaIndustry courses (e.g. CSC, PFP, CFP) would be considered an asset
