At ALS, your primary responsibility will be to conduct both routine and innovative analyses of geological samples while managing AAS, ICP‑AES, and ICP-MS instruments. You will ensure analytical quality by evaluating data using GEMS software while preparing necessary calibration standards and operating solutions. Commit to following established safety protocols and SOPs as you execute tests with attention to detail and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct routine and non-routine geological sample analyses
• Operate AAS, ICP-AES, and ICP-MS instruments
• Evaluate data and maintain quality compliance
• Prepare samples and calibration standards accurately
• Organize and manage laboratory inventory and logs
Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in Science, Chemistry focus preferred
• Minimum 1 year of analytical chemistry laboratory experience
• Organized and detail-oriented work ethic
• Effective communicator in English, both written and verbal
• Capability to lift heavy containers and perform repeated tasks
