Role OverviewThis role will suit a qualified Electrician with strong technical experience delivering electrical works on-site across both commercial and domestic environments. You will carry out a variety of reactive maintenance, repair, and installation works, primarily within public sector buildings such as schools, universities, MOD sites, factories, and housing void rewires.
The position is full-time, working 37.5 hours per week, typically 8am‑4pm. Some flexibility is required to meet client and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake electrical repairs, maintenance, and installation works as instructed
- Requisition appropriate materials, plant, and machinery for each job
- Set out and deliver works in line with programmes and drawings where required
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, distribution equipment, lighting, and control systems
- Carry out installation, testing, inspection, and certification on domestic and commercial installations
- Perform fire equipment testing including panels, sounders, sensors, and emergency lighting
- NVQ Level 2 in Electrical Installation
- ECS Health & Safety Test
- JIB Gold Card
- Level 3 Inspection, Testing & Certification (C&G 2391)
- IOSH / SMSTS / SSSTS or equivalent
- IPAF and PASMA
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Salary: £38,000 – £40,000
- 37.5 hours per week
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
(includes 3 compulsory days over Christmas) - Company vehicle provided
