Staff Accountant

Description

Our client is seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional looking to advance within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities

+ Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports

+ Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

+ Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement

+ Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies

+ Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments for efficient financial operations

+ Help with audit preparation and respond to auditor requests as needed

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

+ 1+ years of accounting experience; internship experience considered

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general ledger systems; experience with ERP software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP, Oracle Net Suite, Microsoft D365, Workday) is a plus (Source: Q1  Demand for Skilled )

+ Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team

+ Attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines

Requirements - Proven experience in accounting, including journal entry preparation and general ledger management.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

- Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and best practices.

- Ability to work with precision and manage multiple tasks effectively.

- Familiarity with accounting principles and compliance standards.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Effective communication skills for collaboration within a team.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
