Staff Accountant

KBW Financial is partnering with a growing, mission-driven organization in the Northampton area seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative team environment while ensuring accuracy and compliance across financial processes.

• Support general accounting functions including reconciliations and account analysis
• Assist with financial reporting and documentation preparation
• Participate in billing and contract-related accounting processes
• Contribute to budget support and financial tracking activities
• Maintain accurate records within the general ledger
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Assist in reviewing and improving accounting procedures and internal controls
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate financial information
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
• Minimum 2+ years of nonprofit, public, or similar accounting/bookkeeping experience required
• Experience with grant and state contracts preferred
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs)
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
• Strong organizational and communication skills
