Print Production Assistant

Copy Cat is a locally owned print, design, and marketing studio in downtown Northampton. We work with small businesses, solopreneurs, nonprofits, and community organizations to create high-quality printed materials, signage, and branded goods.

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Print Production Assistant to support our daily production workflow. We are looking for someone who is comfortable in a production environment and ready to contribute with minimal training.

• Assisting with production using digital equipment
• Preparing and reviewing print-ready files using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
• Operating and maintaining production equipment
• Cutting, trimming, folding, binding, laminating, and finishing printed materials
• Performing detailed quality control checks
• Maintaining an organized and efficient production workspace
• Collaborating closely with design and front-office team members

• Prior experience in print production, signage, mailing services, or a related hands‑on production environment
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and Acrobat
• Understanding of print‑ready file setup and prepress basics
• Ability to manage multiple jobs and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  
  Comfortable working around and operating loud production machinery
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed

• Experience with large‑format printing and finishing equipment
• Familiarity with USPS bulk mailing processes
• Experience in a small production shop or locally owned business
• Experience with Fiery Command Workstation

• Hours of operation:
  Monday–Friday, daytime business hours (closed weekends)
• Flexible part‑time or full‑time schedule within operating hours
