Overview

The Department of Philosophy at Smith College invites applications for the position of Lecturer, to begin July 1, 2026. This is a full‑time, non‑renewable one‑year position with a teaching load of five courses over two semesters. AOS:
Open. AOC:
Philosophy of Mind. A Ph.D. in Philosophy is expected by the time of appointment. Candidates from groups underrepresented in Philosophy are encouraged to apply.

Benefits

In addition to a competitive benefits package, starting pay range for this position is typically between $76,245 and $78,200. Actual compensation will vary based on individual qualifications.
