Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures, invites applications for a renewable three-year benefits-eligible position at the rank of Lecturer, to begin July 1, 2026. This position is part of the Five College Korean Language Program and is housed at Smith College.

Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching five Korean language courses each academic year. This position contributes to the Five College Korean Language Program Initiative. Candidates must have a native or near-native fluency in Korean and English, and experience in language teaching at all levels, with a commitment to excellence in teaching. A Master s degree in Korean language pedagogy or a related field is expected by time of appointment.

Candidates from groups underrepresented in Asian Studies are encouraged to apply.

In addition to a competitive benefits package, starting pay range for this position is typically between $78,300-$80,400. Actual compensation will vary based on individual qualifications.
