Job DescriptionResponsible for providing instructional support to students under the direction of the classroom teacher. The para educator will assist with classroom activities, classroom management, and individualized student support.
Work Schedule32.50 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 7:25 a.m. – 2:25 p.m.
Compensation$24.92–$31.44 per hour based on experience.
Minimum Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate’s degree or its equivalent;
Para Pro or similar assessment program certificate, or 48 hours college credits preferred. - Professional development as required.
- Experience working with young children.
- Acceptable MA CORI and SAFIS Fingerprint Background Checks prior to start of employment.
Full benefits and privileges are consistent with the Northampton Association of School Employees (NASE) Para educator Unit C Collective Bargaining Agreement Contract.
