Join the Collaborative for Educational Services (CES) as a Substitute Teacher, working with at‑risk adolescents in residential facilities managed by the Department of Youth Services (DYS). This role offers a unique alternative teaching experience, typically with small classes averaging about five students, allowing for a personalized and engaging educational environment.
Responsibilities- Deliver lesson plans prepared by the CES curriculum team.
- Implement behavioral support strategies provided in the classroom.
- Adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of at‑risk youth.
- Collaborate with clinical, behavioral, and guidance staff to support student success.
- Maintain a supportive and positive classroom environment.
- Experience working with youth in an academic or supportive setting.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred; some college experience acceptable.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy learning environment.
- Reliable transportation and flexible schedule.
