The Children’s Advocacy Center of Hampshire County provides a safe and supportive environment for children who have experienced sexual or severe physical abuse. It brings together a multidisciplinary team, including professionals from the Department of Children and Families, law enforcement, medical and mental health fields, prosecutors, and victim advocates to collaboratively respond to cases of abuse. The organization aims to minimize the stress for child victims and their non‑offending family members during investigations and interventions.

The CAC is dedicated to supporting the healing process of children and families in need.

Role Description

This full‑time on‑site role based in Northampton, MA, involves directing and overseeing therapeutic support services for child victims of abuse and their families. The Director of Therapeutic Services will manage a multidisciplinary team, coordinate service delivery, ensure client satisfaction, and develop strategies for continued program improvement. Responsibilities include administering budgets, organizing staff training, providing leadership, and maintaining strong relationships with families and community partners to ensure the successful delivery of services.

Qualifications
  • Strong leadership and team leadership abilities to effectively manage and support a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience with budgeting and financial planning to oversee program resources and allocations.
  • Exceptional customer service and customer satisfaction skills to ensure client‑oriented service delivery.
  • Proficiency in designing and conducting staff training for professional development.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage relationships and maintain collaboration among partners.
  • Background working in trauma‑informed care, social work, psychology, or a related field is highly beneficial.
  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of child abuse dynamics and experience with child‑focused or family‑centered services is a plus.
