Higher Education | Temporary | Mid-October through End of February.

Monday-Friday | 8:30 AM-4:30 PM | $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

Are you the HR person everyone goes to when they need an answer, a little guidance, or help navigating a workplace situation? We’re looking for an HR Partner to step into a temporary role supporting a higher education environment from mid-October through the end of February. This is a hands-on opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys being close to the day-to-day work-supporting employees and managers, keeping HR processes moving, and helping with employee and labor relations matters.

What

You'll Be Doing
  • Serve as a frontline HR resource for employees and managers, answering questions about policies, procedures, and HR processes
  • Provide day-to-day support around employee relations and workplace concerns, escalating more sensitive matters when appropriate
  • Receive, document, and track employee relations issues while maintaining a high level of confidentiality
  • Support labor relations
    , including union grievance tracking, contract administration, and related documentation
  • Assist with workforce planning, restructuring, and organizational projects
  • Coordinate training logistics, including scheduling, materials, attendance tracking, surveys, and follow-up reporting
  • Organize HR data and create presentations and reports that communicate workforce and employee lifecycle information
  • Keep HR projects, documentation, and tracking systems organized and up to date
What We're Looking For
  • Previous HR experience in a hands-on, employee-facing role
  • Experience with employee relations and/or labor relations
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion
  • Comfortable working with employees and managers at all levels
  • Workday experience preferred
  • Experience in a higher education environment is a plus
  • Someone who can jump in quickly, work independently, and keep multiple priorities moving
