The RoleOur client is seeking an experienced
Project Manager
to lead complex enterprise software implementations for government and public-sector clients.
You will own projects from kickoff through launch, build trusted client relationships, and lead cross-functional teams through challenging implementations. This role is well suited for someone who can bring structure to complex situations, make sound decisions, manage competing priorities, and keep both clients and internal teams moving toward a common goal.
What You'll Do- Lead enterprise software implementation projects from kickoff through deployment and launch.
- Develop strong, trusted relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Own project plans, budgets, scope, risks, dependencies, and timelines.
- Lead cross-functional teams that may include analysts, developers, technical resources, and client stakeholders.
- Identify roadblocks and proactively drive issues toward resolution.
- Manage changing priorities, project risks, and difficult conversations when necessary.
- Maintain clear communication between clients and internal project teams.
- Facilitate meetings, project discussions, status updates, and decision-making.
- Maintain alignment around project expectations, responsibilities, milestones, and deliverables.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery processes and methodologies.
Candidates should bring:
- Experience managing software implementation, enterprise technology, or similarly complex projects.
- Experience working in consulting, professional services, or another client-facing delivery environment.
- Strong project ownership with a demonstrated track record of delivering successful projects.
- Experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.
- Comfort working with both business stakeholders and technical teams.
- The ability to bring structure and clarity to ambiguous or evolving situations.
- Strong judgment and confidence making decisions and driving projects forward.
- A proactive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented approach.
Experience in any of the following is considered a plus:
- Government or public-sector technology projects.
- Enterprise software implementations.
- Environmental, regulatory, or government software.
- Agile or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Jira or similar project management tools.
- PMP or other relevant project management certification.
