Custodian

• 40 Hours per week

  Hourly Salary Range: $21.84 - $27.72 based on experience
• Assignment: JFK Middle School
• Schedule:
  
  Monday – Friday from 2:45 p.m. – 10:45 p.m.

Perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks, such as sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, washing floors, cleaning restrooms, polishing and waxing furniture, polishing and waxing floors, and cleaning common areas. May open building(s); unlocks doors, turn on lights, checks heating and cooling systems, etc.; may close building(s); lock doors, secures building(s). Replaces lights and performs minor repairs to furniture, buildings, and equipment;

shovels snow: may be required to maintain grounds surrounding buildings. May perform minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical duties as directed; operates heating and cooling systems including thermostat, and safety controls; moves and sets up furniture and equipment: collects and disposes of refuse. May perform other similar or related duties as required or as situation dictates.

High school degree preferred, minimum of 6 months’ related experience required. MA Class D Driver’s License preferred.
