The Clinical Nurse Manager isnresponsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the medical/surgicalnunits and the Joint Center. The Clinical Nurse Manager organizes and directsnthe work of nursing units and programs and coordinates staff to assure thatneffective nursing services are provided and quality standards are met using anmultidisciplinary team approach to care. The function of the Clinical Nurse Managernis to develop and maintain an environment that supports the professional nurse,nthe patient experience, nursing students, and staff.
The Clinical Nurse Manager holds 24-hour,n7-day responsibility and accountability for staff and students participating innthe program. This position reports to then Clinical Director, Medical/Surgical Services and operates within establishednorganizational and departmental policies and procedures.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor ofn Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school required
Previousn experience in a supervisory capacity within Med/Surg required certification as a Clinicaln Nurse Leader or Nursing Administration preferred
Masters of Science in Nursing from an accredited school orn matriculation preferred
Current Massachusettss licensure to practice as a Registered Nursen (RN) required
Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years current clinical experiencen required
Experience with the development of a DEU or similar Nursingn University / hospital based collaborative program preferredn Current American Heart Association BLSn certification required ACLS required Leadership skills and excellent clinical competence, includingn proficiency in the nursing and improvement processes required. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, team building, collaboration,n negotiation, problem solving, as well as oral and written communicationn skills required.
