Job Summary
We are seeking a full-time, 40‑hour Phone Triage Nurse for our new Cardiology office onsite Monday through Friday. The practice operates from 7:30 am‑5:00 pm with flexible shift times within that window.
This role offers a mix of phone triage and hands‑on care coordination for patients scheduled for cardiac and vascular procedures, providing an opportunity to blend clinical expertise with patient‑centered coordination.
Responsible for patient care and support within the outpatient setting through providing compassionate care, assisting in procedures, and collaborating effectively in a dynamic ambulatory care environment.
Essential Functions- Deliver direct patient care and support, ensuring high nursing standards.
- Conduct patient assessments, devise care plans, and assist in outpatient procedures with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post‑procedure care.
- Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Administer medications, perform IV therapy, and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulations.
- Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Education
:
Associate’s Degree in Nursing required;
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. - Licenses & Credentials
:
Registered Nurse (state license) required;
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred. - Experience
:
Clinical nursing experience 0‑1 year required;
Ambulatory or outpatient experience 1‑2 years preferred.
