Job Overview
Flex 7:00pm-7:30am; schedule includes rotating weekends and holidays. This position reports to the Nurse Manager/Director and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Call is required for this position.
Compensation & Sign‑On Bonus$5,000 sign‑on bonus payable after your first 90 days for qualified external applicants.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Direct and coordinate all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards.
- Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
- Provide care to patients with critical or life‑threatening illness.
- Monitor and interpret rhythms, provide care for patients who are incubated and/or receiving mechanical ventilation, monitor patient’s hemodynamic status, and care for those receiving peritoneal dialysis.
- Recognize and assist patients in shock or other life‑threatening complications.
- Assist with emergency and elective cardioversions as well as insertion of temporary pacemakers.
Flex nurses will generally work 24 hours per week. Based on hospital patient‑care requirements, a flex nurse may be required to flex hours either up 12 hours or down 12 hours within a week.

- Paid each week based on hours worked and/or benefit time usage.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. This role does not accept experience in lieu of a degree.
- Registered Nurse (RN – Massachusetts) – required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – required with 6 months of hire.
- Excellent technical, interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
- Critical Care experience preferred.
