About This Role
The RN First Assistant at Cooley Dickinson Hospital is responsible for assisting the surgeon in a lead role throughout the operative procedure, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, Operating Room. This position is ideal for experienced RNs looking to expand their skills in a surgical setting.
Highlights- Pay: $43.38 - $74.94/Hourly
- Location: Northampton, MA
- Facility: Cooley Dickinson Hospital, Inc.
- Schedule: Full-Time, Day shift, includes rotating on-call requirement
- Assist the surgeon in a lead role until the conclusion of the operative procedure.
- Participate in the RN First Assisting training program if seeking certification.
- Ensure adherence to organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing required.
- Five (5) years diversified peri-operative nursing experience with both scrubbing and circulating proficiency required.
- Current RN License in Massachusetts required.
- Completion of an RN First Assisting course conforming to AORN Core Curriculum required.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
- ACLS and CNOR certifications required.
