Our cardiology clinic is located at 22 Atwood Drive in Northampton, MA. We are seeking a full-time, 40‑hour Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team. The schedule will consist of five 8‑hour shifts Monday‑Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with 36 clinical/patient‑facing hours and 4 hours dedicated to administrative duties. This NP/PA will primarily provide care in the office/clinic setting, perform additional responsibilities in the stress lab at Cooley Dickinson Hospital two days per week, and participate in the weekend call rotation (approximately 1 in 9 weekends).
Under the direction of a physician, the NP/PA will assess and manage follow‑up patients in the outpatient setting following established standards and practices. Services may include performing complete histories and physical exams, ordering or performing simple diagnostic tests, diagnosing and implementing procedures for illnesses as well as urgent cases.

The NP is responsible for assessing and managing various patient populations, including those with medical and/or surgical conditions, as well as providing diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, developing appropriate plans of care, and conducting ongoing evaluations. May also perform additional duties, such as precepting a small group of learners.

Essential Functions- Provides direct care, counseling, and education to a designated patient population in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural settings.
- Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
- Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
- Develops appropriate plans of care and follow‑up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings.
- Orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.
- Consistently provides high‑quality and timely documentation, including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes, and discharge summaries.
- Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population.
Master's Degree in Nursing required.
Licenses and CredentialsAdvanced Practice Registered Nurse [APRN‑NP - State License] - Generic - HR Only required.
Experience2 years of licensed nurse practitioner experience (1–2 years required).
- 3+ years of experience working as an NP/PA in cardiology and/or heart failure required.
