Experience:

Five years of diversified peri-operative nursing experience with proficiency in both scrubbing and circulating required License:
Current licensure as an RN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required

Certifications:

ACLS, BLS from AHA or American Red Cross required Must-Have:
Completion of an RN First Assisting course that conforms to the Core Curriculum set forth by AORN required

Description:

Will accept a conditional license for the initial contract length. Schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts. Call is required for two days a week from 5 PM (or from the end of the shift) to 7 PM, and one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) every three weekends. Weekend call is for 24 hours per day. Position involves 50% circulating and 50% first assisting.

Experience in both roles is required. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, responsible for assisting the surgeon in a lead role until the conclusion of the operative procedure. Traveler may be circulating at times.
