Locum Veterinary Surgeon Northampton Ongoing from 5th May

An established small animal practice in Northampton, Northamptonshire is seeking an experienced Locum Veterinary Surgeon to start from 5th May on an ongoing basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident all-round GP vet looking for structured, longer-term locum work within a supportive 5-vet team.

• Small animal only
• 5-vet practice
• Open 7 days per week
• Well-structured rota agreed approximately 3 months in advance
• Supportive and collaborative team environment

The role averages 40 hours per week (160 hours over 4 weeks):

• Typically 2 x 08:00–19:00 days
• 1 x 08:00–16:00
• 1 x 08:00–17:00
• 1 in 4 weekends

• Saturday: 09:00–15:00
• Sunday: 10:00–15:00

• Confident in consults and routine surgery
• Comfortable working 08:00 starts and 19:00 finishes
• Able to work 1 in 4 weekends
• Happy working within a structured rota
• Strong team player with good communication skills
