Position InformationThe position is open until it is filled. Initial review of applicants’ application materials begins July 17, 2026. This position works primarily from the CAPV office at 155 Pleasant St. in Northampton, MA.
ResponsibilitiesCommunity Resources & Advocacy (CR&A) provides supportive services and referrals for community members in the Community Action Pioneer Valley (CAPV) service area. CR&A receives thousands of inquiries and works with hundreds of households per year. CR&A Resource Advocates assist participants applying for public benefit programs, and work with eligible participants to offer financial assistance. They answer the information and referral phone line and web inquiries and make internal and external referrals.
This position will conduct case management/advocacy services alongside participants, focusing on financial and housing stability.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in social services or closely related field.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish, Haitian Creole, and/or Russian is a highly valued skill.
- Experience with case management with marginalized communities, housing/tenant rights, eviction proceedings, utility protection options, and/or other advocacy for and with individuals.
This is a 37.5 hr/week position. The pay range for this non‑exempt position is $/hr
