Exciting Career Opportunity as a Field Service Engineer at Linde Material Handling in Northamptonshire NN postcode. Linde Material Handling, a global leader in forklift trucks and warehouse equipment, is seeking skilled Field Service Engineers to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will embark on a dynamic journey in the world of material handling, where no two days are the same.
You’ll work with our extensive lineup of products—from agile pallet trucks to robust counterbalance trucks, and cutting-edge very narrow aisle (VNA) trucks to innovative automated solutions.

Responsibilities- Diagnose and resolve technical issues to ensure equipment operates at peak efficiency.
- Be the guardian of preventative maintenance, conducting essential check-ups to keep the fleet running smoothly.
- Travel to various customer locations to service Linde forklifts and other state-of-the-art material handling equipment.
- Build strong customer relationships and deliver exceptional support.
- Operate in a hands-on and problem-solving oriented capacity.
- Experience as vehicle technicians or mechanical engineers; particularly forklift technicians, plant fitters, plant technicians, or vehicle technicians.
- Experience with plant equipment, powered access equipment, agricultural machinery, motor vehicles, or industrial cleaners is desirable.
- Ideally NVQ level 3 (or equivalent), though not essential.
- Comfort using IT equipment to maintain records and place orders.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Competitive salary based on experience.
- Option of a 40-hour or 45-hour working week, Monday to Friday; OT is available.
- 25 days of annual leave plus statutory bank holidays.
- Company pension scheme with 6% employer contribution and minimum 4% employee contribution.
- Eligibility to participate in Employee Incentive Schemes.
- Paid travel “Door to Door”; customer base close to home with average travel around 30 minutes.
- Company van and fuel card; van washing through fuel card account.
- On-call support paid in addition to salary.
- Laptop and phone provided; all specialist tooling and wear-and-tear policy; PPE supplied and company-cleaned specialist work wear.
- Induction and ongoing training, with long-term training development plans; potential for growth through technical grading and degree-level learning.
- Full Forklift Driver Licence required.
- Support from local and national technical teams.
