Electromechanical Team Leader (Automation / Conveyors)

Location:

UK-wide (project-based – Corby & Kettering hubs)
Salary: £26–£28 per hour (circa £60,000–£75,000+ depending on hours)

Overview We are seeking an experienced Electromechanical Team Leader to oversee the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of automation and conveyor systems across UK-based projects.

This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring strong technical knowledge and the ability to manage teams effectively on-site while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
Lead installation and assembly of automation systems including conveyors, control panels, and cable infrastructure
Supervise, guide and support site teams and subcontractors
Ensure all work is carried out in line with technical drawings, specifications, and safety standards
Manage site activities, materials, and resource allocation
Support testing, commissioning, and system handover
Act as the main on-site contact for clients and report progress to the Project Manager
Maintain full compliance with health and safety procedures, including toolbox talks and site documentation
Requirements
Proven experience leading electrical or automation installations (conveyors, ASRS or similar)
Strong understanding of technical drawings and project documentation
SSSTS or SMSTS certification
ECS or CSCS card (essential)
Electrical or Mechanical qualification
Full UK driving licence
Willingness to travel and work on projects across the UK
