Field Service Engineer

Our client supplies, installs and services a range of industrial Battery Chargers, and related products, for industrial Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS). We are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer to join a nationwide team responsible for servicing Battery Chargers and their related Battery Packs at commercial/industrial locations. Responsibilities of the role will include:

- To organise & complete service visits according to manufacturers recommendations.

- To position, install and commission equipment at customer sites.

- To repair equipment.

- To advise Head Office of any sales opportunities identified during the course of duties.

- To promote the company and act in a professional and diplomatic manner at all times.

- To adhere to quality standards at all times.

- Survey new and existing sites for installation purposes
- Feedback quality issues to the office
- Provide Technical Support to colleagues and customers as required. Any of the following experience and qualifications would be beneficial although training will be given:

- Electrical/Electronic fault finding
- Electromechanical Installation e.g. BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regs
- Understanding of SLA, NiCD and Plante batteries
- Experience working with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), UKPN, National Grid or London Underground would be beneficial

- Experience with Battery chargers, UPS, Backup power systems/supply, emergency lighting beneficial
- Substations access experience eg. UKPN, National Grid, Western Power, Southern and Scottish power, Electrical Authorised person and CSCS all beneficial - UK Driving License and eligibility to work in UK are essential Benefits:
