Electrician; Sub-Contractor

Position

Electrician (Sub‑Contractor / 18th Edition) – a subcontract self‑employed Electrician (CIS).

£23 - £28 per hour, negotiable based on experience.

Completed in the Luton / Dunstable area – commutable from Luton, St Albans, Milton Keynes, Hemel Hempstead, Aylesbury, Leighton Buzzard, Harpenden, Hitchin, Northampton, Bedford, Kettering, Wellingborough, Rushden, Letchworth Garden City, Stevenage, Bishops Stortford & other nearby areas.

Standard working hours are 07:30 - 16:30 Monday to Friday. Saturday work may be required with enhanced overtime pay.

• Install containment, trunking and baskets during the first five weeks, followed by more complex wiring installations and second fixing.
• Install trapeze support systems, fit baskets, trays and metal trunking.
• Use Lindapter systems to hang rods off the ceiling.
• Work independently and as part of a small team, maintaining a 'right-first-time' approach and high quality standards.
• Read and understand electrical and technical drawings.

• Current NVQ Level 3, ECS, 18th Edition, AM2 and other relevant qualifications.
• IPAF operator certificate and CSCS card.
• Experience in containment and trunking installation.
• Strong attention to detail, safety and quality focus.

Personal tools and van are required.

Role starts immediately; candidates must be available to start by Tuesday, 07 July 2026.
