Field Service Engineer – UK (mainly England)

About the RoleYou will install, commission, maintain and troubleshoot equipment at customer sites across the UK, ensuring every project is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Install, commission, service and fault‑find equipment at customer sites.
- Conduct inspections, testing and commissioning activities.
- Complete service reports, commissioning records and site documentation.
- Work safely and comply with RAMS, permit systems and HSE requirements.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, escalating where appropriate.
- Coordinate site activities with project and support teams.
- Support urgent customer call‑outs when required.
- Maintain tools, test equipment, vehicles and spare parts.
- Build strong customer relationships through professional service.
- Share feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Experience in field service, installation, commissioning or maintenance within an engineering environment.
- Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience interpreting technical documentation and procedures.
- Good understanding of safe systems of work and risk management.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.
- Electrical, networking or engineering qualifications.
- Experience with ticketing systems or engineering software.
- Utilities, energy or industrial sector experience.
- Knowledge of HV or LV or both monitoring equipment or similar technologies.
