Mobile Plant Fitter (Construction Machinery)
Location:
Northampton. Salary: £20.00 - £21.50 per hour plus door‑to‑door pay, overtime, company vehicle, training, and benefits.
This well‑established engineering company specialises in the service, maintenance, installation and repair of industrial and mobile plant equipment across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a skilled Mobile Plant Fitter to join their field service team covering customer sites in the North West.
Responsibilities- Service, maintain, and repair mobile and industrial plant equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
- Carry out fabrication and welding repairs where required
- Travel to customer sites across Manchester and surrounding areas
- Receive door‑to‑door paid travel and a company vehicle
- Mobile Plant Fitter, Field Service Engineer or similar background
- Mechanical and/or electrical experience with heavy plant, recycling equipment, conveyors, shredders, crushers or similar industrial machinery
- Experience in fabrication and welding repairs is highly beneficial
- UK Driving Licence
- Willingness to be flexible around shift patterns and working hours
