Trainee/Junior Lift Engineer

£35k-£45k (DOE)

You’ll work alongside experienced engineers installing high-quality home lifts across the UK, with genuine opportunities to progress as your skills develop.

The Role

Working as part of a two-person installation team, you'll install complete home lift systems at residential properties across the UK.

Full training will be provided, allowing you to develop into a fully qualified Lift Installation Engineer.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Installing home lift systems from start to finish.
  • Using hand and power tools to assemble and install equipment.
  • Reading and working from technical drawings.
  • Assisting with servicing, maintenance and breakdown work once trained.
  • Providing a professional service to customers in their homes.
  • Working away during the week when required.
What We’re Looking For

We're interested in practical people with the right attitude rather than just direct lift industry experience.

You could come from backgrounds such as:
  • Mechanical Fitter
  • Vehicle Mechanic
  • Installation Engineer
  • Service Engineer
  • Assembly Technician
  • Maintenance Engineer
  • Lift Engineer
  • General Mechanical Engineering
You’ll ideally have:
  • Confidence using hand and power tools.
  • The ability to read technical drawings.
  • A practical, hands-on approach to engineering.
  • A willingness to learn and develop.
  • A full UK Driving Licence.
  • Flexibility to stay away from home during the week when required.
  • NVQ level 2 - lift installation (Desirable but not essential)
Salary & Benefits
  • £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience.
  • Quarterly bonus scheme worth up to £15,000 per year.
