Refrigeration Engineer

We are currently recruiting for Commercial Refrigeration Engineers to join an established engineering team, with Senior Refrigeration Engineer opportunities also available.

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced refrigeration engineers looking for a long-term position working exclusively on commercial refrigeration systems, with excellent earning potential, paid travel and a strong benefits package.

As a Commercial Refrigeration Engineer, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, fault finding and repair of commercial refrigeration systems across customer sites.

The role will include:

* Service and maintenance of commercial refrigeration systems

* Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)

* Reactive breakdown and fault finding

* Installation, commissioning and repairs where required

* Working on CO₂ refrigeration systems

* Diagnosing electrical and refrigeration faults

* Completing service reports and job sheets

* Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard

* Participating in a call-out rota

* Providing professional customer service on site

Essential:

* Previous experience as a Refrigeration Engineer

* Strong commercial refrigeration experience

* Proven CO₂ refrigeration exposure

* Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills

* Ability to work independently and manage customer sites

* Full UK driving licence

* F-Gas qualification

Desirable:

* Ammonia refrigeration experience

* Senior / lead engineer experience

* Experience with large-scale commercial refrigeration systems

* Experience with supermarket, retail, distribution or food production environments

Salary & Benefits

 * £45,000 – £59,000 basic salary, depending on experience and seniority

* 40-hour working week

* Overtime paid at time & ½. Sunday and Bank Holiday overtime paid at double time

* 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays

* Full door-to-door travel payment

* Call-out rota
