Are you an experienced HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, or Commercial Vehicle Technician looking for a Monday to Friday day shift role?
We are recruiting for a skilled HGV Technician to join a professional commercial vehicle workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Mechanic, Truck Technician, or Commercial Vehicle Technician looking for a stable role offering competitive pay, overtime opportunities, and an excellent work-life balance.
Working within a busy workshop environment, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy commercial vehicles to a high standard, ensuring vehicles remain safe, reliable, and compliant.
Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or Truck Technician- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and technical faults
- Complete inspections, preventative maintenance, and defect repairs
- Prepare vehicles for MOT testing in line with DVSA standards
- Maintain accurate job cards and workshop documentation
- Work safely and efficiently within a professional workshop environment
- Ensure all repairs are completed to a high standard
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Commercial Vehicle Technician, or Truck Technician
- Experience working on heavy goods vehicles
- Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
- Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance qualification
- HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence
- IRTEC accreditation
- Main dealer or fleet maintenance experience
