HGV Technician

The Automotive division of Questech Recruitment is currently recruiting an experienced HGV Technician for a well-respected client based in Northampton.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Technician looking for a stable night-shift position with a choice of shift patterns.

The Role
You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a mixed fleet of HGV Trucks & Trailors. Ensuring they remain safe, reliable and fully compliant.
Your duties will include:
 
* Servicing, maintaining and repairing HGVs and light commercial vehicles
 
* Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
 
* Carrying out six-weekly inspections
 
* Completing preventative maintenance
 
* Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
 
* Accurately recording completed work and inspection findings
What We’re Looking For
The successful candidate will:
 
* Be apprentice-trained or hold a recognised vehicle maintenance qualification
 
* Be a fully qualified HGV Technician
 
* Have experience working with HGVs
 
* Be confident carrying out servicing, repairs, inspections and fault diagnosis
 
* Be reliable and capable of working independently during night shifts
Shift Options
You will work permanent nights from 6:00pm to 6:00am on one of the following patterns:
 
* 4 on, 4 off
 
* 5 on, 3 off
Pay
£32–£35 per hour, depending on experience.
