Essex-based Multi Skilled Technician - Joiner role

40 hours per week, 8am to 7pm Monday to Friday, plus Saturday mornings and rota for out-of-hours callouts

Essential to live within the Essex area and hold a full UK manual driving licence

NVQ Level 3 (City & Guilds) Trade Qualification or equivalent required

Competence in multi-trade tasks including basic plumbing, tiling, joinery, groundwork, mould treatment, and flooring installation

Guinness Property provides repairs and maintenance services to The Guinness Partnership. Our national teams deliver rapid-response housing repairs, maintenance, and improvement services to ensure that our residents' homes are safe and maintained to a high standard.

About the role

We are looking for a Multi Skilled Technician - Joiner to join our Essex team, delivering responsive repairs and general multi-skilled work. Additional skills in Plumbing are advantageous for this role. This is a permanent role, working 40 hours per week covering the hours between 8am ? 7pm Monday ? Friday plus Saturday morning. The later shift and Saturday morning working is delivered on a rota basis.

The role also includes participation in an out-of-hours callout rota, which comes with an additional payment. To ensure timely access to our residents, the successful candidate must live within the Essex area. A full UK manual driving licence is essential.

A basic DBS check is required, which will be paid for by Guinness.

Essential requirements of the role
  • You must be able to demonstrate competence within your primary trade, with the ability to carry out various multi-trade tasks such as basic plumbing, tiling, joinery, groundwork, mould washes/treatment and flooring installation.
  • Experience of working in a customer-focused environment, ideally within the social housing sector, with a consistent track record of delivering high quality service.
  • Proven ability to work methodically, achieve targets, follow agreed procedures and accurately record information.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to carry out physical tasks and apply products that remove and treat damp and mould, in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Ability to operate safely, considering any environmental circumstances and possible risks.

NVQ Level 3 (City & Guilds) Trade Qualification or an equivalent recognised competency in the primary trade.
