Temporary Administrative Assistant at City Clerk

Join the City of North Bay as a Temporary Administrative Assistant, supporting election staff and clerical duties. This role emphasizes strong organizational skills and municipal election knowledge.

The City is seeking a Temporary Administrative Assistant from August 31, 2026, to November 13, 2026. In this position, you will assist the City Clerk with coordinating election staff and carrying out various election duties.

Your role may also extend to supporting the Council Secretariat as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate election staffing under the City Clerk’s direction

• Assist in clerical duties related to municipal elections

• Support the Council Secretariat when required

• Maintain strong organizational and time management skills

• Communicate effectively with the public and team members

Requirements:

• Grade 12 education or equivalent experience

• Three years of related administrative experience

• Good keyboarding skills (minimum 50 w.p.m.)

• Knowledge of municipal elections processes

• Proficiency in computer usage and office skills
