Position: Field Service Technician at Sandvik

Join Sandvik's Field Service team in Stratton, Ontario, as a Field Service Technician specializing in surface drills. This role involves troubleshooting, maintenance, and new equipment commissioning within a fly-in fly-out schedule.

The Field Service Technician will focus on the mechanical and electrical maintenance of surface mining equipment. Strong skills in diagnostics and repair are essential, along with the ability to engage in continuous improvement initiatives. Individuals will need to ensure compliance with safety standards while providing outstanding service to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect equipment for faults and malfunctions

• Adjust and repair defective parts as instructed

• Test equipment post-repair for performance assurance

• Commission new equipment as required

• Complete time records and technical documentation

Requirements:

• Relevant trade certification (red seal preferred)

• Minimum 3 years experience with mining equipment

• Proficiency in hydraulic and electrical schematics

• Valid driver’s license and travel willingness

• Ability to work varied shifts as required
