Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Northborough, Massachusetts. In this role, you will handle a variety of accounting tasks, including data entry, document organization, and invoice processing, while supporting overall financial operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and proficiency in Quick Books.

Responsibilities:

- Accurately enter financial data into accounting systems to ensure records are up-to-date.

- Organize and maintain physical and digital files for invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.

- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.

- Utilize Quick Books software to manage and track financial entries.

- Handle invoice processing, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

- Collaborate with team members to complete special projects as needed.

- Perform routine scanning and filing to maintain organized documentation.

- Assist in resolving discrepancies in financial records or transactions.

- Generate reports to support financial analysis and decision-making. Requirements - Demonstrated experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).

- Proficiency in using Quick Books for financial management and record keeping.

- Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

- Ability to process invoices efficiently and in a timely manner.

- Familiarity with organizing and maintaining financial documentation.

- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members.

- Previous experience in an accounting or financial role preferred.
