Position OverviewSt. Bernadette School is seeking a K-8 Music Teacher to join our elementary school team. The ideal candidate should possess a degree in education or a liberal arts degree and a passion for Catholic education. He or she will demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching elementary‑aged children and a deep sense of purpose in shaping their hearts and minds in partnership with families.
Responsibilities- Deliver curriculum lessons and lead school choir
- Instruct and instill the habits of mind necessary for academic success
- Model and encourage student growth in Catholic virtues
- Aim to deliver lessons in an engaging and joyful manner
- Collaborate with colleagues to encourage student learning and character formation
- Build rapport and communicate effectively with families to provide feedback on student progress
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a bachelor’s degree in a music or liberal arts program
- Certification in Elementary Education
- Commitment to refining the craft of teaching
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents
- The ability to model a love of learning and a love of Christ
