The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for maintaining quality standards for all products and processes in line with product specifications, as well as company and customer requirements. They will be responsible for both first article inspections and final inspections, testing and measuring products, as well as producing or verifying documentation and data. This position will report to the Northborough site Quality Manager, and will work in accordance with the quality team.

Monday to Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Conducts inspections to ensure compliance with product specifications. Inspections include visual, dimensional, functional, and physical testing on product from all departments.
- Perform first article inspections as required. Assist quality and engineering in new projects, validations & qualifications, and first article reports.
- Performs all duties by adhering to appropriate work instructions.
- Completes required documentation.
- Utilize visual measurement equipment such as Smart Scope & Micro-Vu to perform incoming, in-process, & final inspection of parts.
- Verifies packaging and documents for shipping parts.
- Performs accurate data entry.
- Collaborates and gathers documentation or data, tests product or materials for root cause analysis, investigations, and drives continuous improvement activities.
- Daily communication with co-workers, manufacturing personnel and all levels of supervision and management regarding problems, suggestions, and potential improvements.
- Communicates orally in a professional manner.
- Serves as a good team player.
- Uses Lean Enterprise methods to reduce waste and complexity in all processes.
- Ensures work area is clean, safe, and organized.
- Assists with filing and scanning quality documents.
- Forward conforming parts to proper location based on customer requirements.
- Knowledgeable in the selection, set-up and use of inspection equipment, tools and gauging.
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3+ years related experience
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Must possess basic math skills.
- Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Able to accurately scan processing records to computer files for archiving.
- Ability to read and understand complex mechanical drawings and specifications.
Compensation Range: $21/hr - $25/hr
