Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or patients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location;
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions;
Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with location protocols;
Assist with routine security-related reporting, note taking, and follow-up on observed issues, policy concerns, and/or maintenance-related conditions encountered during patrols;
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed
