The Art Director role will be responsible for conceptualizing, presenting, producing, and designing comprehensive and creative 2D layouts, designs, presentations, and graphic roadmaps for client deliverables relating to exhibit design and some virtual exhibit design. You’ll serve as creative lead on assigned client projects. Client and internal teams will look to you as the Brand Manager for design assets. As a center point in the workflow process, the Art Director serves as the communication liaison between account management, design, and production, ensuring that all deliverables maintain integrity along the way.

What you’ll do:
  • Design graphics and manage client(s) branding for face‑to‑face 2D marketing projects.
  • Oversee and manage the design and development of 2D virtual exhibits/environments.
  • Create UX/UI virtual experience maps, communicate/manage with outside virtual developers.
  • Design presentations or proposals using current technology and software tools.
  • Drive, manage, and oversee the client creative process from inception through delivery.
  • Work with project teams, designers, and clients’ agencies to ensure delivery of design projects.
  • Utilize exceptional communication skills: connect with design, client services, and production to serve as a focal point to all parties involved, not just the design department.
  • Maintain advanced design skills on the most current Adobe Creative Cloud software.
  • Trouble‑shoot technical issues in graphic files used for pre‑press and printing.
  • Display leadership results to all team members.
What you’ll do with some internal training:
  • Work with graphic production to check details of physical assets as they are being built.
  • Create and submit internal PO orders as needed.
  • Plan and manage resources to meet client commitments and deadlines, including designers, media partners, and vendors.
  • Update status of your design projects through internal Project Manager software.
Qualifications
  • At least 10 years’ experience as a graphic designer.
  • 5+ years in the trade show or exhibit industry, with a concentration on healthcare/pharmaceutical branding.
  • Excellent knowledge of 2D and 3D design techniques.
  • Working UX/UI knowledge and experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of design software (Adobe CC) on the MacOS platform, plus Microsoft Office administration programs such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams.
  • Strong oral and written presentation skills are a must.
