We are establishing a new national business unit delivering end-to-end specialist engineering asset services across Australia, supporting Tier 1 contractors, asset owners and government agencies.

This is a greenfield leadership role where you will build the business from inception and scale it into a nationally recognised technical authority. It suits a senior engineering leader who is commercially astute, technically respected, and motivated by building a business rather than inheriting one.

The Opportunity

• Establish and execute the national business strategy for the new business unit.

Define and launch core service lines, including:

• Structural and concrete inspections

NDT and laboratory testing

Monitoring systems and engineering investigations

Remediation, repair, and maintenance delivery

Asset management support services

Grow and manage a strong commercial pipeline with asset owners, government agencies, and Tier 1 contractors.

Lead tendering, pricing strategies, negotiations, and seamless contract execution.

Establish and maintain robust delivery systems, QA, governance, and HSEQ frameworks.

Recruit, develop, and inspire a national multidisciplinary team to deliver excellence.

Maintain technical credibility and uphold engineering standards across all projects.

Own financial performance, including revenue, margins, utilisation, and cost control.

Build long-term client relationships and secure framework agreements.

Provide regular performance, risk, and growth updates to the GM.

About You

• Senior engineering leader from a Tier 1 contractor, consultancy or infrastructure services business
• Concrete and structural inspection
• NDT and laboratory testing
• Monitoring systems and forensic investigations
• Repair, remediation and maintenance works
• Demonstrated commercial leadership and P&L ownership
• Credible with senior clients, engineers and project teams
